Concept design for an Ayurvedic Spa Retreat in Penukoda, Central South India.

The design is based on historic Hindu references and proposes 35 keys on a 7 hectare land. A submerged spa and yoga/ meditation space become the main focus around which nestle individual circular pavilions. The design is based on Vaastu, the ancient Hindu organisation of space, referring to the of space within the order, orientation and use of the four elements: fire, earth, water and air, thus creating the ideal balance for space, mind and body.
